According to Teamtalk, qualifying for Europe’s top competition would unlock a massive £200 million transfer budget. The club looks set to focus on rebuilding the midfield this time, after revamping their attack last year.
They’ve already been linked with the likes of Brighton’s Carlos Baleba, Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton, and Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson. With Casemiro expected to leave at the end of the season, there’s definitely a spot up for grabs in midfield. On the bright side, Kobbie Mainoo has come alive since Carrick stepped in as interim boss. The pieces are moving, and United seem ready for the next chapter.

Since joining Chelsea this summer, Dewsbury-Hall has hit the ground running at Everton. He’s clearly loving life with the club and wants to catch the eye of England boss Thomas Tuchel, who watched from the stands with the World Cup coming up.
After the match, Dewsbury-Hall said, “If I keep scoring and helping the team, that’s all I can do.”
He added, “And hopefully, people in those positions keep watching and think there’s a spot for me.
“I know what I bring to England. I’ve always said, the better I do for my club, the better my chances with the national team.
“Hopefully, Tuchel keeps showing up if I keep scoring. He came to Old Trafford, and I scored there too, so maybe he should just come to all the games!”
Wearing number 22, Dewsbury-Hall couldn’t stop talking about how much he loves the club and the support he’s gotten from Everton’s travelling fans.
“I love it,” he said. “Honestly, it’s probably gone better than I expected. The fans have been unbelievable since I arrived, and it just feels good to be able to give something back. Being an Everton supporter and travelling to away games this season must be a thrill because you know we’ve got a real shot at winning.
“Credit to the fans—they really do help us out. Even when we were down today, you could hear them shouting and pushing us on. Turning that into celebrations at the end? That’s the best part.”
He also played a role in bringing Tyrique George to the club. George joined on loan from Chelsea on Deadline Day, six months after Dewsbury-Hall made his own move north.
Talking about George and what he brings, Dewsbury-Hall said, “I’m excited. Tyrique’s a really talented young player with a great attitude.
“You saw it today when he came on—he looked calm, not nervous at all.
“He’s got that confidence, not arrogance, just the right amount. If he settles quickly, he’ll be a big addition for us.
"I chatted a bit with the gaffer about him and gave my opinion. I didn’t really talk to Ty much before the move—he had to make his own decision. But I’m glad he picked us. I’ve been helping him settle in, just letting him know how things work around here.
“He’s fitted right in, honestly, from his first training session. If he gets up to speed fast, you’ll see goals and assists pretty soon.”

Crystal Palace has enquired about Liverpool's Curtis Jones as a potential £82M replacement for Adam Wharton in the 2026 window.
Crystal Palace have started asking about a deal for a “fantastic” midfielder—someone who’s already won four times at Selhurst Park.
Back at the end of the winter transfer window, journalist Pete O’Rourke said Palace probably won’t have an easy time holding onto Adam Wharton this summer. He didn’t mince words: “Look, I’m sure Palace are readying themselves for interest and offers for Adam Wharton in the summer transfer window. They’ll face a real fight to keep hold of him in the summer window, with the likes of Liverpool, Man United, and Chelsea, plus others, probably all very much interested in the 21-year-old.”
If Wharton does go, it won’t be cheap. Steve Parish wants £82 million for himself. That kind of money would give Palace a serious budget to find a replacement.
Today, news broke that Oliver Glasner’s side reached out about signing FC Nordsjaelland’s Caleb Yirenkyi, who’s been catching eyes in the Superliga this season. But they’re not stopping there—TEAMtalk reports Palace have also submitted an enquiry for Liverpool’s Curtis Jones, seen as a possible successor to Wharton.
Jones only has about 16 months left on his Liverpool contract, and talks about a new deal have stalled lately. His future at Anfield doesn’t look so certain.
Jones, who’s 25, has already played at Selhurst Park five times with Liverpool and won four of those matches. This season, he’s missed just three Premier League games for the Reds. Apparently, Liverpool were open to selling him last month, so a move to Palace feels possible—and honestly, he could really shine there.
Jones came up through Liverpool’s academy and stood out in the Champions League earlier this season. Phil Thompson praised him, calling him “absolutely fantastic” and the team’s best player on the night. With 141 Premier League appearances under his belt, Jones is already packed with experience, and at 25, he’s still got room to grow.
